June was a crazy busy month for us (more on that later). On June 7th Eric had his Business Card Ceremony. For those of you who don't know what this is, it's very similar to a White Coat Ceremony for MDs. It means Eric is now OFFICIALLY treating patients in the clinic!! This trimester he is treating some friends in the student clinic, and next trimester he will be treating people from the community.
This is a huge milestone for Eric! As you can imagine bookwork gets pretty old after a while, so he was thrilled to finally start using his hands and knowledge to help others. After all, that's the whole reason he wants to be a chiropractor.
To celebrate with us, Eric's parents came for a few days for a visit. We had a great weekend that flew by very fast. Luckily, the actual ceremony went by quickly as well. We ate lunch, listened to a speech that lasted maybe 15 minutes, and then watched the new interns receive their 500 business cards.
