Kinsey at 22 Months

These last two months have made me realize, more than ever, that Kinsey is no longer a baby. She's a little girl! Her face has become more grown up in just a few months, she says new words out of the blue, understands EVERYTHING, and tries to tell you everything. We're still working on the pronunciation aspect of her speech.

She still needs lots of love and attention and wants to be held quite a bit. A tear-free breakfast has been a struggle lately so I let Kinsey sit on my lap or in a big chair. She is on cloud nine when that happens!
Kinsey LOVES any opportunity to be a big girl, like drinking out of a real cup. We still have to watch her quite closely because her temper can explode in less than a second and the drink will go flying even faster.
She loves living with Grandma and Grandpa and knows just where to go when she wants to get her way. It's also adorable when she yells "Papa" to Grandpa in the middle of church.
Kinsey is constantly getting in her drawers and putting on (or taking off) clothes. Her favorites are pants and SOCKS. She has a serious obsession with socks. It's also not uncommon to get her out of bed and find her in only a diaper or with her pants on inside out.
She listens so well now...when she's in the mood. For example, when I put Kinsey down for bed I tell her to close her eyes and she does! It's so cute.
Little K loves Eric's old rocking chair. I think it's precious that she loves what once was his when he was her age.
Now that she's a little older I can experiment with her hair more. Like braiding...
or even semi-straightening it!! Doesn't she look so grown up?
I would love to give her more activities to do but everything still ends up in her mouth--crayons, colored pencils, pencils, and play dough! Yup, that blue snot is thanks to play dough. But I guess that was in her mouth AND nose.
Our absolute biggest struggle has been Kinsey playing with her poop. She tends to poop during nap time (worst timing ever) and started taking her whole diaper off and poop got EVERYWHERE! Now, she just reaches in her diaper, pulls poop out, and spreads it on her crib. Disgusting, I know. We've implemented cold showers into her punishment. Surprisingly that didn't do the trick, so now we watch her through a baby monitor to make sure she's not being a stinker.
On the plus side, we've been enjoying some summer activities like playing in Kinsey's new pool!
And a family favorite of snow cones!! I was pretty excited to find sugar free flavors for Kinsey. It's really like she's just eating ice haha!
She makes the cutest faces that just crack me up. Like this.
And this. Despite the gross mayo she's holding.
And her gorgeous smile. I LOVE that smile.
The girl's got style.
But my favorite part about Kinsey is how loving she is. She's been interacting a lot more with her sisters. She doesn't really like calling them by name and just says "baby" when referring to them. She definitely notices how they are growing and takes advantage of this by playing with them.
She likes to be a part of whatever they do.
But lately Kinsey has really just enjoyed giving Scarlett and Shayla lots of hugs and kisses.

10 Years? Reunion Time!

Can you believe it's been 10 YEARS since this guy has graduated from Provo High School?! I'm married to an old man. But I can't rub it in too much because I'm not far behind him. Once I heard Cafe Rio was catering Eric's reunion, I was on board! I still thought it would be a little boring, but we had an awesome time hanging out with Eric's high school buddies (even if I didn't win a prize).
I was really impressed with the amount of people who told me they read my blog. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm glad I'm not just writing to myself :)
There were a lot of people missing from Eric's graduating class, but we were happy with those who made the effort to come:
Can you spy Eric?
Eric was the only one from his high school basketball team at the reunion. Representin'!
Eric's good guy friends who came to the reunion.
Ben, Jordan, and Eric
If I learned anything from this lovely get together, it's the "Ben face" from high school. Apparently he didn't know how to smile in old pics.
It was great seeing all of you! Soon-to-be Dr. Eric Walker will see you next time!

First Father's Day!

We celebrated Eric's first Father's Day as a dad this year! Eric, Scarlett, and Shayla headed off to church looking HOT...
while Kinsey and I stayed home sick looking not so hot. Thank you little girl with a runny nose from nursery who spit on Kinsey the week before.
When Eric and the babies got home we had a surprise waiting! Yes, I'm cheesy.
After a lunch of hot dogs with JDawgs sauce, Eric opened his presents.
I've been planning this picture ever since I knew we'd have three kids for Father's Day. I was a little disappointed Kinsey was a terror during the pictures, but what can ya do with a one year old?
Looks like a touching father/daughter moment right?
Kinsey was actually bawling her head off. She's an emotional sicky.
We had ribs for dinner thanks to Eric's mom! The next day his dad opened up his Father's Day present from Eric. I guess it's something to clean his paintball gun on? I'm not sure :)
Despite Kinsey and me being sick, I think Eric had a good Father's Day. I mean, he was given hours of uninterrupted nap time. That's what any dad REALLY wants!!

Baby Blessings

These little girls were given a name and a blessing yesterday during church. They looked absolutely beautiful in their white dresses and bows. The blessing circle included Eric, his dad, Bishop Salmon, and his friends, Spencer and Ben.
Scarlett and Shayla
Some of our family and friends were able to come and share the day with us!
My BFF Julie!
Kinsey enjoyed being passed around from person to person during Sacrament meeting. She had no idea what was going on, but she sure did love the extra attention.
I love my family!
I meant to take pictures of everyone at the luncheon afterwards, but of course, I completely forgot! My friend Sara was able to help take some pictures of Scarlett and Shayla in their gorgeous little dresses.
Sara and Scarlett
SCARLETT ROSALIE WALKER
Scarlett was a little fussy during her blessing, causing Eric to lose his train of thought. She is just particular and probably didn't like the way she was being held. After church she was wide awake and posing for pictures!
Pretty blue eyes!
SHAYLA HAZEL WALKER
Shayla, on the other hand, was giving huge smiles at all the guys in the circle which made them want to laugh during the blessing. She sure is a happy baby! The day wiped her out and she slept through the entire photo shoot.
This is my favorite picture!
Thank you to everyone who came to the blessings! It was great seeing all of you there to support our baby girls.

The Twins at 4 Months

Can I just say how happy I am that these two are going to have each other while growing up?
And not to mention how close in age Kinsey is to them. They are already starting to become best friends.
Even if having twins can be difficult at times, it's so worth it. Shayla and Scarlett are past the "I sleep all the time" stage and haven't quite entered the "I entertain myself" stage, so we've had some rough days. They want to be held almost all the time. Luckily, they are starting to enjoy their play yard (Shayla more than Scarlett) which gives me a few minutes to focus solely on Kinsey.
This month we celebrated Mother's Day
and moved to Grandma and Grandpa Walker's house!
Eric home after the long drive.
Scarlett and Shayla experienced their first plane trip on May 30th and did not make a peep the entire plane ride. They were champs!
We even went shopping just the four of us girls with very little crying at the end!
AND they started wearing 0-3 month clothes since they are growing so tall.

SHAYLA
I thought Shay babe was my "chill" baby, but boy was I wrong!
This little girl is ready to be on the move! She's constantly trying to pull herself up to sitting position, but we're still working on the balancing part. She also spins around in circles attempting to "crawl."
She grabs ANYTHING she can get her hands on whether it's hair, clothes, Scarlett's face, or a blanket. And she does it with dang good accuracy (future sport star?).
When Kinsey tries to play with Shayla she actually plays back. One time Kinsey kept giving Shay Shay a play basketball and Shayla kept kicking it off her. Kinsey thought this was the greatest thing ever!
Kinsey pushing Shayla around.
Shayla is also my little chatterbox. She is constantly babbling and smiling. Scarlett smiles a ton too but really doesn't make much noise.
Happy Shayla and Scarlett

SCARLETT
Scarlett is quite the morning person. When she wakes up she is all smiles and happy to get her diaper changed (as opposed to Shayla screaming for food).
She has the most beautiful eyelashes!
Scarly is content just sitting and watching people around her. She hates laying on her back and likes to be sitting up, but she doesn't feel compelled to try to crawl or roll over yet.
This girl is also big on sucking (aka giving hickies) and is quite the drooler after her daddy. For some reason she also loves grabbing her ear and I actually caught her holding on to Shayla's ear once.
Although I thought Scarlett was the high maintenance one at the beginning, she has turned into the perfect little baby.
How cute is this?!

Some days are easier than others...
but I think my favorite part of watching my kiddos all day is seeing their relationships grow.
Sister love!!
